And one thing is clear: it can't be accused of subtlety.

I liked the film, mainly because I liked the character of Daniel. The new Daniel does not work for me. And Richard Dean Anderson is till MacGyver in my brain. The show seems like a mix between Xena and Star Trek Voyager. I am not enthralled. I'll give it a couple of more episodes, but I really don't see why everyone is so enthusiastic about this.

Granted, each season is about 20 hours long, but still. Also, Daniel was my favourite character, too. Trust me, he gets better. James Spader's Daniel doesn't hold a candle to Michael Shanks' anymore.


I find that very, very hard to believe.
