I wish I could say it gets better quickly, but I didn't actually start watching until it had already been on several seasons (though I think I've seen every episode now due to re-airings/marathons). It does become a pretty good show eventually, but it has a lot of low point episodes scattered throughout. I can't really tell you how best to proceed except to say that I am a fan and the character interaction gets a lot better in later seasons. Particularly after the fourth or fifth time Daniel comes back from the dead.

It does start out pretty slow.

Ben Browder wasn't the greatest RDA replacement

I really enjoyed the two Ben Browder seasons. The addition of Claudia Black helped a lot though.

Oh, yes. They were good. But I still liked the earlier seasons more.

Every modern sci-fi/fantasy show seems to have the "Groundhog Day" episode.
