I'd have liked it more if Michael's character had been fleshed out

Now he was only the older brother who never does anything wrong. Oh, and a dick. Awesome to get to see Adam again, he's supreme eye candy.
Nice dynamic there, Dean being the eldest Winchester brother and facing Michael and Lucifer wearing Adam and Sam(my).
I think the Lucifer thing has run its course. Sam's free. But I think the boys have worked hard enough and getting back to killing ghouls would be sort of pointless, not to mention dull for the viewers. So perhaps Sam will let Dean live in peace, at least for now.
I think Chuck has always been a god. Apparently God is a very good actor, being all-powerful.
IMO the Christian God of Supernatural is different to what we perhaps think. The "pagan" gods were all just strong humans with moral foibles (the killing people thing!) and Death was a pretty normal guy, too, despite being as old as the universe. There's no house sized dude with a long flowing beard, but some guy who after creating the world has decided to keep his hands from getting dirty. With a few expections, like teleporting the boys to the airplane after Lilith's death and now making Castiel archangel. (that is what he is now, yes?)
Kind of reminds me of how the Heaven turned out to be nothing more but eternal rerun of our favourite moment on earth. That was interesting.
All in all, I like it how they have treated the religious stuff, not being Christian (or religious?) myself.
Not the most coherent of messages, I admit.

True. If this had been the end of the whole series, it would have left me with a good feeling.
