We are a week behind in Oz Land with the Lost Eps, so I avoid these threads until after I've watch it here. I don't know how you remember so many details of this and that, for Lost and every other TV series or Book series that you post about it, but I'm glad you do. I always get enjoyment reading your reviews, even if I don't agree with what you've said. Keep the reviews coming. Thanks for this great Post.
Ah thanks... As you'll see, not quite all of my thoughts were dead on the money.
I don't know how I do it either. I have a good memory (and I practice it), and I'm often good as spotting links and such. Aptitudes tests said I should have chosen a career as an investigator, historian or researcher or some such (clearly not in sciences though!) but I went with my tastes and went into the TV/movie business.
I don't always pay that much attention or try to analyze everything, though - especially not TV. I've worked closely with editors for nearly 25 years, when I watch for entertainment I try to make abstractions of my background and not focus on the nuts and bolts (not always with success, especially if the show bores me.. I start to see all the editing tricks etc).
In the case of Lost, I was pretty happy to let the story unfolds without discussing it much or speculating much. It's not before getting some of the answers this season that I felt an interest for going back and re watch the DVDs for the first time, and witj the hindsight spotted things. My ongoing re watch also explains a lot why I remember many details... trust me, I had forgotten a lot until the re watch!

I loved Sawyer's description of Lapidus as a guy who stepped off the set of a Burt Reynolds movie. *NM*
