That was good. It is pretty much what I have been waiting for from Moffat. Of course, I hate him deeply for making it a two-parter and leaving me in agonising fear of angels and statues and basically blinking for a whole week. But I liked it.
I was not as enthusiastic about Alex Kingston this time (compared to Silence in the Library). She seems to have only one setting. I would have liked her to be somewhat subtler. But I may be wrong. I AM glad River Song is finally reintroduced. And I like how Moffat put two of his major creations together (ie scary as hell Angels and Doctor's mystery future something-or-other).
I wonder what it is she has done, which the priest does not think the Doctor would like to hear. Has she killed someone?
Thoughts?

I decided to watch the Library two-parter last night, and agree with you on how much better she was in those episodes. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to make her out to be younger and more impulsive than the professor she grows into...but over-egged it a little.
In any event, I think this was probably my favourite episode so far, certainly better than last week's Dalek one, and Amy continues to stand head-and-shoulders above any of the other recent companions.
Also of note: I thought the pictures of him in her diary explained your concerns over the regeneration issues. She evidently only met Ten once, and likely recognised him from said images, but for all she, at first, knew he could have been Twelve or Eighteen or whatever. (I assume we're doing away with the regeneration number limit these days. I'm also assuming said diary isn't the most organised when it comes to labelling faces in order. But then, could you imagine The Doctor taking the time to make sure it's all correct?)
I think I'm jabbering about nothing now.

Oh, how simply grand it is to be travelling by dirigible again. Direct us to the west good sir, tonight we will remember what it is to live.

She seems as if she believes everything she says to be highly witty.

Well, that answered the question about what the Doctor was shooting.
