We don't know that we have a Doc, we don't know that he would protect Talic, we don't know that the Darkfriends would assume that Talic was protected and therefore not attack him, and we don't know that Talic is even a Lightsider.

And essentially, you can jump this up another notch if you think's it's such an obvious assumption to make and say that the Doc would assume that the Darkfriends would assume that Talic was protected by the Doc and therefore protect someone else, assuming that the Darkfriends would therefore not target Talic. The Darkfriends could also assume that the Doc would assume that they would not target Talic, because they would assume that the Doc would assume that they would assume that Talic was protected by the Doc, and therefore protect someone else, leaving Talic unprotected and easily knocked out.

I prefer to base my suspicions on facts rather than assumptions at what other people are assuming. Talic is prime night kill material, and was not night killed, and that is suspicious.
