I'm aware a lot of people haven't played RP heavy games so I'm not really making a length requirement. I can be as short or as long as you like. More important is quantity of replies. If someone is interacting with your character, it's a bit annoying for them to have to wait a long time before you reply back. If that happens, they're likely to just move on to talking to someone else.

it can be as simple as:

Myrella came into the room and saw Bren eating breakfast. "Hello," she said, sitting down next to him.

or it can be:

Myrella entered the room, rubbing sleep out of her eyes. Her rest had been plagued with nightmares. She was hoping to be able to eat breakfast alone but it looked like someone was already there. Reluctantly, she made her way to the table, still uncomfortable with the fact that she was no longer wearing a mask to hide her identity. Slipping into a seat, she piled a plate with food for herself, greeting the other person and hoping he wouldn't be too talkative.


Both are fine. Don't worry about your writing skills. Just enjoy the ride.
