So if two people both vote for themself, and receive no other votes, the one who voted first wins.
what if more people don't want to vote that position into power? That may not happen today, but maybe it could down the line. Is a vote for "No confidence" acceptable? Or does it not work that way?
Players may effectively impeach someone via a majority, once impeached elections would reopen for the position, it should be noted though that while the players may elect and impeach people over and over again, the Chair's double vote only applies to the current chair, and the advocate's ability can only be used once a day, so if they have already used it, their replacement would have the title but not the power.
The Chair is elected by vote of the players, a plurality rather than a majority is needed to elect, though the vote ends as soon as a majority is reached if other players have not voted. The position is vacated if a majority of players vote to do so and at dawn every day. Once a person has served, they can not serve the next day. This position exists as long as there are seven living players in the game.
