You all walked about the Reliance, the transport ship commisioned to transport the Telepathic Nanites sample from the military colony to the orbital space station, to be properly disposed of.
It was a shame those nanites didn't work out. The ability for commanders to communicate telepathically with subordinates would've been incredibly useful in battle. Unfortunately, the Nanites ended up causing extreme aggression, and the telepathy was more like full-on mind control.
But the Reliance was a good ship, albeit a bit of an irritaing one. In 12 hour shifts, on the dot, all the lights would shut off, to simulate nighttime, but the Crew preferred to call it "Blackout". The security systems were also a bit heavy, though apparently that was necessary.
You all sat upright, some of you just waking, as you heard the alarms blaring. You all rushed to the Nanite Chamber, to find the Containment Unit empty. The Captain stepped up behind you, telling you to "just stay calm. We'll get this sorted out soon as we can. For now, why don't everyone just meet in the main cargo bay."
In the cargo bay, the Captain informed you that not only had someone stolen the Nanite Sample, but there were apparently at least two groups onboard who wanted the sample. And none of you were leaving until you got rid of all the threats aboard the ship, or died trying.
The game is afoot! Confirm your role messages, and let's get started.
