After a long day, the night seemed that much shorter. Slowly all stand up and start to go about their business. None are talking, as they are all trying to wrap their heads around what has been happening these past few days. One person seems to be so exhausted, she stays on her cot when all others are trying to get something to eat.
During breakfast, a maintenance man walks by her cot, trying to keep quiet and let her sleep. As always when you try to be quiet, he accidentally lets everything drop from his hands and with a roaring noise, everything tumbles on the floor. All look up startled to see what happens. All that is, except for the sleeping woman.
The maintenance man gets closer, touches the woman and then lets out a yell. A few calls and some frantic activity later, the dead woman has been removed from the premises. Strangled. The captives look at each other. One of you…
