The Dark One and the Creator watch from afar as the first stage of their game plays out in that strange place where neither time nor space exist.

HMMM, TOUGH LUCK, muses the Creator, passing the popcorn to his antithesis. Below him, several people get out of their chairs with rather malevolent intent, eyes fixed on a figure clad in a high-collared black coat with dragons embroidered on the sleeves.

TELL ME ABOUT IT, the Dark One answers, shoving a load of popcorn in his mouth. HE'S GOT RAND COMPLETELY FOOLED, YOU'D THINK HE COULD WORK THIS CROWD A LITTLE BETTER.

The Creator shrugs. WELL, RAND IS INSANE, YOU KNOW. Below a fight breaks out. Screams of "Die, darkfriend, DIE!" are heard, as well as protestations and a series of small explosions. The smoke clears, and the broken body of Mazrim Taim is revealed.

The Dark One reaches out to reclaim what is his, and Taim's body disappears, leaving only a bloody spot. YOU WIN TODAY, he says ruefully to the Creator, BUT NIGHTTIME IS MY TIME. He smiles, and the room plunges into pitch darkness that cannot be pierced by any light. The room appeared small during the day, but now it seems vast, and each of the remaining inhabitants feels they are alone, terribly alone. There are some, of course, who find their way to one another, and what will happen this Night only time can tell.

Hobo was Lynched - he was Mazrim Taim, a Darkfriend. He had the ability to talk with his teammates at Night and carry out their nightly kill.

Moloch was a ordinary college student from the modern age - he had no special powers and won once all of the evildoers were eliminated.

Night 1 will end on Thursday October 1st at 11:59 pm EST at the latest because I have a giant exam on Thursday morning. If everyone sends me their Night Actions before then I'll see if I can get it out earlier, but no promises.
