...let me kick off some (more *sigh* ) discussion.

To me, the guests around the table (7 in total, plus an old man at the head of the table who I presume is Count the Champignac) all look familiar, although I don't recognize any of you. That means that there is a distinct possibility that all are recurring characters in the series. Any other people have the same feeling of familiarity? Do any of you recognize any of the others?

With 7 people playing, let's make the same assumption as last two games, with 5 Town and 2 Scum. The obvious candidates for the 5 Town are at the very least Spirou and Fantasio (if we do not count Spip and the Marsipulami).

Other recurring characters I can find:

- Seccotine and Ororea (both reporters and rivals/love interests of Fantasio)

- The Mayor of Champignac Gustave Labarbe ("notable for his large ego, his pompous and nonsensical speeches, and his suspicion of all things from out-of-town, in particular Spirou and Fantasio" ) and his mild-mannered, timid assistant and right arm Duplumier. (Timid and mild-mannered: to me that just SCREAMS superhero secret persona...)

- Le Petit Noël ("melancholic, dreamy boy who lives in Champignac-en-Cambrousse" )

- Célestin Dupilon ("former veterinarian of Champignac-en-Cambrousse, who after retirement has assumed the role of town alcoholic" )

For scum, I stick with my earlier assessment, that the following are likely:

- Zantafio, who bears a strong physical resemblance to Fantasio, because they are cousins and may therefore be confused with him (Hmm, I just read that he's also an aspiring dictator - I may have to buy the comics after all, this sounds like fun);

- John Helena "la Murène/ The Moray", a criminal (but reformed when last seen) likely to appear when adventures take place in or near the water;

- Don Vito "Lucky" Cortizone, New York mafia boss who's apparently very unlucky (also reformed when last seen);

- Cyanure, a robot in human shape (if I remember correctly, unable to distinguish from humans unless you know her).

I also just found mention of Zorglub, a mad scientist rival of the count. His only invention is the "Zorglonde" which he uses to bring others under his influence. As Zorglub uses it to steal inventions and turns police officers into his soldiers, could this maybe indicate a Cult?

After some thought, I think the most likely Scummers are Zantafio (as he's a recurring antagonist, plus if he looks like Fantasio, it may cause confusion later on - on inspection of some pictures they have some resemblance, but they are not the archtypical "good twin-evil twin" ) and Zorglub (due to his mind controlling device and he's appeared in about as many albums as Zantafio).

Oh dear, I just realized that Fantasio works at the same office as Gaston Lagaffe, a lazy and accident-prone office junior, who also has his own comic. If he's also here, that might indicate that Bergioyn has some (unexpected) trouble planned.
