I too have a stimpack, and I used it on myself last night. I also had a visitor last night, but it was only Sync.
Given the flavor of the message, I am almost certain that I would have been informed if we had blocked an attack, so I expect that the Zerg targeted someone else.
Unless you're lying or Sync is actually the zerg or a carrier, unwittingly making a cult of zerg. I mean we have to stick to the normal assumptions because there's so many others, but the games never actually fit that mold and every mod tries to arrange for a 'twist', which I doubt was the protoss SK alone.
As best as you can, what aspect of the flavor makes you confident you'd have known the attack was blocked if it occurred or that you'd know it had? I mean, what reason do we have to believe the doc or a type of stimpack actually prevents infection rather than just traditional NK?
And, while I don't want to raise too many WIFOMs, I think we all might want to hold off on the assumption that this is a straight up cult. Mods aren't always all that great at balancing the field but FT's pretty good as they come and in a 8 player game, while the SK and a cult would tend to balance each other out a bit, a straight up cult has way too many routes to achieve a night 2 victory... Townie lynched on Day 1, SK kills a townie, Zerg convert, Day 2 6 players, 3-2-1 town-cult-sk. We got the SK but that doens't matter, that was the most probable outcome of Day/Night 1 for such a case and it's LyLo, 1 in 6 the game ends on night 2 with a lynched SK and a 3-2 cult-town. 3 in 6 a townie gets lynched and Night 2 is 2-2-1, 50/50 the SK kills a townie and 1 in 3 if so that the cult converts the other townie, game over, Day 3 dawns 3-1 cult-SK. I don't think FT would have left any day 2 victory options open for anyone that didn't involve running the table by the town, but there's wads of them plainly visible, not just freak luck or critical player error ones.
We might be in one, a day 1 lynch of a SK was 1 in 8, not very improbable, and a 1 in 8 to lynch the cult, but those are basically unavoidable. Cult gets whacked on day 1, it's now 6-1 town v SK, not great odds for the SK but doable. Cult gets whacked by SK that night... odds are they don't because the SK eliminates 1 and the other, the original or the fresh convert, carries on. Cult tries to convert SK on night 1, probably can't and either dies in the attempt or simply fails. FT would have to consider those options, they're too proximate to be missed and the game too small to make them improbable. Besides the only way to overlook them would be to assume the 3-2-1 T-C-K day 2 with caveats for successful doccing/BP. Which again is LyLo with very few scenarios for town victory. Lynch the SK, 1 in 6, cult wins. Lynch a townie, go into the night 2-2-1, best case scenario is 2-1-1 on day 3 if the SK hits the cult and they don't convert someone, and they lose, 50/50 to lynch a townie, 1 in 4 to lynch the surviving cultist and go into the night 2-1, with a thin chance they can survive the SK's NK and a 1 in 3 to lynch him the next day if they do, better odds the SK kills one of them and wins. 1 in 4 they lynch the SK on day 3 and the cult guy survives 2-1 and done. So even the best case day 2 scenario leaves them only a couple slim routes to victory, and well... I don't see FT gambling on the town getting very luck or the cult or SK getting very unlucky, and we know the SK was a normal one. So the cult presumably is modified to be weaker or the town has roles that strongly compensate or there is no cult. I'm betting on option A or a mix of A and B.
Thinking out loud kinda, but with that, is there anything in your flavor that gets specific or strongly indicative or are you just guessing that the doc and/or stimpack would prevent infection and.or alert you if it was tried?
