Houses (Table) - Edit 1

Before modification by Isaac at 16/12/2011 05:05:16 AM

I'm going to work off the assumption nobody has any particular reason or advantage to hide their name and House, mine is Lord Isaac of House Caasi, which those dating back to wotmania will recall was my username, it is also my first name spelled backwards. Anyway I'm guessing Rana just used my old tag there but it's entirely possible everybody got their name backwards or similar, like Fox of House Raven or Beet of House Nemesis or Dan of House Beet or Ben of House Templar or Amys of House Syma and so on. I could be totally wrong about that and all these names could genuinely have significance but if mine is indicative then it's probably best just to have them out there and I'd not be surprised if game flavor references our houses anyway. Bidding results for Auctions might end with notes like "Widget bought by House Caasi for X atium"

By the way, since we have a new player its worth mentioning the (Table) part, games normally ban editing but we generally make exception for Thread Starters that have (Table) in the title, since we tend to do a lot of those. Normally this involves some question(s) which people reply to and the original poster updates the chart. This is covered in our series game rules if you've not had a chance to review them and are unsure what's safe or unsafe.

Some notes in case my guess-timate is wrong here, if you share a house with someone or are really worried about exposing something - taking as a given scum will lie if they feel obliged to anyway - I'd advise picking a fake character/house name that at least has some logical connection to your real one, like House Poni for House Equine, i.e. hard to see unless pointed at then really obvious. Not that I'm advising anyone lie, quite to the contrary, but my own makes me assume this is a very low-risk endeavor or I'd not be asking this early on, and if I'm wrong, or someone thinks I am anyway and decides to lie for their own safety, course of wisdom says pick a pseudonym that at least vaguely indicates the real deal.
