Re: An informal agreement is probably the way to go then

Well, I neutered it as best I could so it would only detect purely identical RM's, but as I said in the NB at the time, I was more than half convinced we had mass coppage going on. I didn't actually view it as a rules sidestep, the neutering was to minimize collateral damage if it wasn't the case as my head thought. Such a technique can only mean anything if the Mod's done identical wordings, which I never do and generally discourage... though it did win us the Tower game if you remember, that 'win with the Tower' bit let us run the table even with 3 scum and a SK in a game of 10, ditto game 2. Anyway, I don't encourage such sidesteps but I do consider it to be really more the responsibilityy of the Mod to make them impossible by changing up RM wording.
It also won us the first game I played here, with the vanillas banding together by identifying that they were all called "villagers" in the lore. Mind you, I wasn't a villager but I saw through that pretty fast, so maybe I could have turned it back against you had I been scum
.

Yeah, that was the game 2 I mentioned. We were all pretty clueless in those early games, game 1 ended on Day 1, pity Marshall and CarnCarn didn't stick around to RAFO.
Anyway, think of it this way, what were you expecting to learn from this ploy that wasn't modtext (which the rules forbid divulging)?
Oh, it was a cheap ploy, I freely admit, that's why I didn't debate the ruling, strictly a raw fishing expedition. But we'd already done something similar with the RM poem.
It's hard to tell how much impact the poems ultimately had, I suspect they subconsciously clued me in but a lot of that's natural paranoia. Oh, the Titus thread's your turn again

Yeah, I expect to update it tonight or tomorrow.
Excellent, we can continue to pass the hot potato on which of us has forgotten about it, I'm aiming for post #50 to arrive before AMoL or the next Martin book in the worst case scenario

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
