You're right that there is nothing inherently wrong with coding our roles, apart from the outside chance that someone could crack one, but the coding is useless without an eventual reveal, and I am definitely against doing one of those or even planning one at this time. This is just my standard antipathy for roleclaiming anyway. I expect the majority will decide in favor, and when the time comes, I will join along and code my role.


You misunderstand. Our plans are designed to measure and reveal two entirely different things. You are hoping with yours to dig up a bit more of what is already there, buried in previous posts. I am less interested in that. The information is already there, I already have it, or I can obtain at any time by looking back. So can anyone else.

I want something that will give more insight into the mindsets of our players. Random will not do that. I want to see the choices that people make and the reasoning that they come up with to support them. That was why I had suggested coding our accusatory cases, so that we don't have just a few people post them and then half a dozen who just say "I agree with whoever." And if everyone does pick the same person, that will still tell us something.

To put it another way, the goal of Plan F is to find information that might help us right now. The goal of Plan E is to create information that will help us in the long-term.

Perhaps we should do both.
