The acoustics of the room only amplify the sharp crack of the gunshot, Ramirez didn’t flinch or even blink when Captian Luccio drew her gun and shot him in the head. As fast as she drew and fired it's hard to say if it’s because he didn’t have time to react or was simply resigned to his fate. The brash young warden simply slumps to the table.
The room is utterly silent besides a couple of gasps. Some of the patrons look shocked, some resolute, others bored. Luccio simply sighs and puts her gun away, then gestures at the other wardens.
“We should search his hotel room, it was a few blocks south of Union Station across from a pizza parlor, you come with me.” She says to one of them, then to the other. “Get rid of the body… you… help him carry Carlos out.” Luccio says, pointing at the hammer vote [Darth Katie].

This is a death initiated contest. The rules are very straight forward, if you wish to pursue it, you must submit your intention to do so by sending a NB to the mod titled “Ramirez”, the last digit (singular) of your timestamp is your initiative, 0-9, with higher being faster. You must submit your intention to do so before submitting your night action (first if you have multiple) or at roughly the same time, if you do not have night actions, you must submit before the night is over but sooner is better. Currently Night 1 is set to end Wednesday Night though that may be pushed back till Thursday. The following modifiers will affect your initiative, you may or may not receive additional modifiers via NB from the mod shortly after this message goes out. This is fairly similar to the previous contest.
Initiative Modifiers
+4: Know Name of Hotel
-2: Use a Night Action (multiple actions stack)
.
Carlos Ramirez
Will: 1
Skill: 1
Energy: 1
Flesh: 1
Power Pool: 7 at time of death
Carlos Ramirez was a "Bag of Tricks" role, effectively a jack of all trades variant, he received 3 random selections from the table of Spells, Rituals, and Wards, which he could power using his Power Pool. As a Full Wizard he also possessed the ability Death Curse... he won with the Town Faction
Rituals, Spells, and Wards
Ritual of Inquiry: For the cost of 4 power points you may summon up a minor spirit and have it investigate a player of your choosing to discover their score in the attribute of your choosing, this take place during the Inspect Phase.
Wards - You may target any player but yourself, but only one player per night, for a cost of 3 points. Once Warded, which takes place during the Protect Phase, you may add one or more of the following effects and may add them multiple times though no player's score in an attribute can exceed 2 and any points spent to raise them are wasted without your knowledge of it. Wards expire at dawn.
3: Establish Ward
1: Ward of Protection +1 Flesh
1: Ward of Mental Fortitude +1 Will
1: Ward of Competence +1 Skill
1: Ward of Abjuration: +1 Energy
4: Ward of Retribution, Major, any action directed against this player during or after the Protect Phase results in an automatic lethal attack after the action of 1+RPSE
Recharging your pool - You start with 5 points on day 1, you can additional points from all of the following:
Repeatable Recharges
1: Surviving to Twilight of a day
2: Surviving to Dawn of a day
1: Being a voter for anyone who dies that day
2: Winning a duel
2: Being a voter for someone who dies from that lynch and is not affiliated to the town
Single Use Recharges
1: Having the most posts of any player on a given day, posts considered non-substantive such as NM's or those clearly designed for this end may be disqualified to prevent abuse.
3: Managing to have voted at some point during the game for every single player, besides yourself, that is still alive, without telling anyone it grants you power.
1: Managing to use, in at least two different and unrelated posts but on the same day, the word "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" without telling anyone it grants you power.
2: Being the first to vote for two different people on the same day, again without explaining how it grants you power or is required by your role.
Ranagrande also received a +2 bonus, in place of the winning a duel bonus as no duel with himself took place, for finding "Mod Error"
Death Curse - Full Wizard only
To use Death Curse a wizard must have time to activate it, and essentially spends their last living moments throwing all their remaining life energy into a curse on someone, typically their killer. To reflect this in the game, an attack at night which kill the character by more than minimum necessary to succeed will not activate the death curse, as they got the jump on you. During the day, the player must inform the mod via NB of their intention to use the Death Curse before the hammer vote is cast and it directs itself at the Hammer Voter. If the wizard does this they may not challenge that player to a duel, but will instead Curse them when they cast their vote. Obviously the player has no way of knowing for sure who the hammer vote will be when they elect to use Death Curse, but it is not used if no one hammers them. All the wizard's remaining energy, which does not include any already committed to spells, rituals, or wards whether they've been completed or not, goes into the curse. Death Curse can be misleading as it is the wizard's death, not necessarily his targets, which gives the name. The effects depend on their remaining energy and the highest value the wizard meets is automatically used. For roleblock effects, the roleblock take place on the next available full night, so if this occurs during the day it will effect the target that night, and if it effects during a night, it effects the next night. A Player may also say that he does not wish to use his Death Curse, in advance, if for instance they are concerned their Curse might end up hitting an ally, such as the Hammer Voter and player being fellow townies.
1: Target has a 0+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
2: Target has a 1+ RPSE Roleblock directed at them
3: Target has a 0+RPSE attack directed them
4: Target has a 0+ RPSE attack directed at them and a 0+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
5: Target has a 0+ RPSE attack directed at them and a 1+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
6: Target has a 1+RPSE attack directed them
7: Target has a 1+ RPSE attack directed at them and a 0+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
8: Target has a 1+ RPSE attack directed at them and a 1+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
9: Target has a 1+ RPSE attack directed at them and a 2+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
10+Target has a 2+ RPSE attack directed at them and a 2+RPSE Roleblock directed at them
