List of Codes and Roleclaims (Table) - Edit 3
Before modification by Isaac at 21/09/2010 10:58:24 PM
I'm anticipating a bit of a mess on first use of this, since its more complicated then Hypocopping and that was a mess the first couple times too, so a quick reminder before we move into reveal phase. That code you give, something between half a dozen and 30 characters long, needs to have a key of a credible and singular nature, and that code needs to have your role name, or a very unambiguous equivalent, in it. This is going to be a mass roleclaim, designed for effective simultaneous reveal, if you try to escape that by being vague or misleading, you'll probably be lynched. So, if your code breaks down to "Roled" or "Investigator" or "Cocktail" etc, I highly suggests you redo it before anyone reveals their role.

Incidentally the last of the un-posted can go ahead and directly roleclaim, no code is needed and as this happens to be a list of our less frequent posters, I think I speak for everyone when saying we've no desire for further delay. Once the RCing begins, we're roughly proceeding backwards, but don't wait until its exactly your turn, or we'll get bogged down, don't try to be the last to reveal or delay, don't discuss other people's claims until you've decoded your own, frankly, try not to discuss them at all until everyone is done, we are waiting to reveal until everyone has their's in, even if that means a bit of delay.
Code Decryption -
Remember, your code must be decrypted, and please don't don't give a key or a hint and leave it at that from laziness or challenge. Don't just state your role either. The point of this exercise is to roleclaim so as to prove your roleclaim was made without prior knowledge of anyone else's. Sorry to keep banging the drum on this, but I want to avoid mistakes and I also want the noose firmly established and draped so no one can escape by claiming uncertainty, if you're not sure what we're doing, you need to say so before people start claiming. If you've made more than one code, you'll need to decrypt all of them, not just the most recent. And you need to step through your method, you can go forwards or backwards, whichever works for you, but you need to walk through it, and you should mention any hints or clues to the key you put in your message. This is unlikely to be a brief message, so to speed things up I strongly advise you prepare it in advance, I sent mine off as a NB to FT right after I encrypted it, so all I should need to do copy and paste, you probably should consider something similiar.
