I mean, people call Louis XIV the "Sun King" and nobody really complains that it should be the "Roi Soleil". "Roi" is the French word for "king", after all.

'Course I will probably use the word "malik" and "mamlaka" in the game just because inserting foreign titles helps to make it sound exotic, but this was just a simple explanation of what I intended.

EDIT: Although now that I think about it, I think I'll make it a "sultan" and a "sultanate" because there will probably be religious connotations to the ruler's authority as well, even though there is no Islam.
