This place looks interesting, but I am having trouble seeing the actual RPs themselves, and that's something I really want to check out before I decide if I want to actually join or not. I mean, I can see all the group descriptions and stuff, but I can't see the actual writing.
Have you heard of a site called Surreal*Twilight? I was searching around the internet and I found it, and I think I like it, though they're currently undergoing forum renovations.

Well, the writing on the site runs the gamut from awesome to terrible. One of the best ones on there is called "Attrim Darr under the Red Sky" and is set in sort of a catch all sci-fi setting.
Mostly I'd say pick the ones that look interesting and sign up. If they end up not being interesting, you can leave the group.
I have not heard of Surreal*Twilight, no. It looks a bit...flashy. But I shall look deeper.
