Well, to be blunt, after shepherding allied DFs in this group through many a game let me assure you that, especially on day 1, it wouldn't be so much surprising if one of them did lie about it, as it would be very surprising if one didn't. More important though than whether one would have - now an academic question obviously - is whether or not one of them would have worried one of their allies would make that mistake. DK's a pretty senior player whose been a DF more than almost any other player, so speaking as the only person whose been a DF more, it's very easy for me to imagine she might have been worried how a newer ally might respond to that, I would have been. I usually spend about half my time in game when a DF running around doing damage control and obfuscation over just such incidents.



In her defense, while it is something a scummer would do, it is also something a player worried about outing roles would do. What bugs me is that to spot the error, someone who has played with me a lot almost certainly has to realize it was intentional, so from a townie I would have expected an accusation attached to the warning if they'd viewed it as a potential hazard to the town. This does assume that someone noticing the pitfall would also assume it was deliberate though, which is hardly a given. It would not be out of the ordinary for DK to post that message as a townie, it does have a hint of bad odor but I would point out that my reaction is as much anger at having a carefully laid trap broken as actual suspicion DK did it deliberately as a DF. Sans frustration it's more of a raised eyebrow than a Finger of Suspicion let alone an open accusation.
