Return to the Day 1 Chronology -------------------->

Day 2 Chronology

Dawn 2 Message – Amys
You feel a poke in the shoulder, and groggily stir to consciousness. Kal Redder smiles at you and puts a cup of steaming tea in front of you.

“Must of drifted off there.” You mumble.

“A couple hours ago, we're changing guard in a few minutes and the suns about to rise, figured you'd want to be awake.”

“Thanks.”

“No, thank you.” He says with a small smirk.

You remember losing rather badly at the game last night, mostly on purpose, the few dozens coppers a minuscule price to pay to give the guards just one more reason not to mind your presence here. Rising and thanking the guards for all the fun you wander back to your rooms to wash up before breakfast, you've barely had a chance to splash some water on your face and sip some tea before you hear a loud scream.

You have survived the night unharmed, and can use your ability again on Night 3.

Dawn 2 Message – Artsapat
After you and your allies make a decision about who shall die to further your master's designs, you retire to your rooms, visions of power and glory fill your dreams, and you are awakened by a scream, once you realize it's coming from the wrong direction to be your Aes Sedai, you smile, yawn, and stretch, fully refreshed and in a good mood.

Day 2 has started, you may no longer speak with your allies until Night 2 begins, except for your day-mason ally, Darth Katie

Dawn 2 Message – Beetnemesis
You awaken with a start, a hand over your mouth muffles your outcry and you freeze, staring up into a single blue eye. Gher puts a finger to his lips as he slowly lifts his hand from your mouth.

“What?” You say, startled and terrified by this man, who has somehow snuck into your rooms.

“You saw me, you know what I am. You will now aid me.” There is no hint of a question in that comment, and you slowly sit up in your bed.

“Yes, whatever you say... I'll help you.” You whisper, scared and hopeful at the same time.

“The darkfriends must be destroyed.” He says, that single terrifying eye filled with fiery zeal. He does not so much as blink when the screaming starts.

Beetnemesis, you are now able to speak to Gher via NB at night, beginning on Night 2.

I'm going to put the Nobles out of Alphabetical order here
Dawn 2 Message – Yunalesca
You are quite pleased that Hobo excepts your invitation for a nightcap, and chat with the Amadian noble for some time. You are always quite up to date on the nobility, even in foreign lands, and recognized Blaine's house, and it is not hard to piece together that Hobo, who you know to be his uncle through the young man's mother, is understandably angry at the loss of his nephew. You also realize that Hobo himself is a member of the Children of the Light, and are very glad as your special elixir begins working on the man.

When his head hits the table, you wander out of the room and ask one of the maids to bring you tea, then hang the traditional sign on your door informing maids not to enter and clean, the little thieves do so tend to wander of with things, and you would not want them to disturb Hobo's rest, the elixir does so make people ill. Taking the tray from the maid and shutting the door in her face, you return to find Hobo still face down on the table, you set down the tray and push him into a sitting position, and see that he has the usual glassy-eyed look and smile so often produced by the Elixir of True Seeing, it must be a blissful experience, you think, you've never tried it yourself since you can already see so clearly.

“Captain Hobo? How are you?” You ask him.

“Quite well.” He says.

“Excellent, I know the elixir often leaves people rather tired, you're welcome to remain here for the day recovering, I see the dawn is rising, and my faithful allies will soon be joining us for tea. Tell me, would you accept a position as my advisor, your experience would be most welcome.”

“Yes, I would be happy to lend my feeble knowledge to your cause.” He says, staring at the ceiling.

You chat for a time, sipping tea, the southerner leaves his untouched, obviously not fond of the Saldaean brew. You hear a knocking at your door.

“Enter.” You command.

Bergioyn enters, and stares in amazed surprise at you and Hobo.

“Please, sit down Bergioyn. Let me pour you some tea.”

She sits. “I take it your mission was successful?” She asks you.

“Indeed, indeed. The elixir worked exactly as expected, as always.”

“I am very glad to see you are on our side, Bergioyn.” Hobo says quietly. “I would not want to be at odds with such a beautiful woman.”

“What? Oh, yes, she is quite lovely, I agree.” Turning to Bergioyn, you say “You must forgive him, the elixir often leaves people rather tired at first, he will have to rest here for some time to fully recover.”

There is another knock, and you bid the knocker to enter. Fox and Ravens strides into the room, the words on his lips disappear as his eyes widen in shock and he mutters a curse.

“Fear not, my friend, Hobo is now our ally, he has sworn himself to my service as my advisor.” You say, waiving Fox and Ravens to the remaining free seat.

“Ah... well, that is excellent. I merely wanted to check on the outcome of your efforts, I would join you but I have something else I must check on.”

“I also.” Bergioyn says, rising so quickly she nearly spills the Sea Folk pottery on the table.

“It is good that your other advisors are so enthusiastic.” Hobo says, “Ah, to be young again.”

You nod. “Yes, it is good to see such energy and enthusiasm in the young. Very well, attend to your business, I will see both of you soon.”

The younger nobles race to be about their efforts at your dismissal, pleased with their enthusiasm, you sip your tea and continuing chatting with Hobo, irritated when you hear the maid scream, no doubt the foolish wench has been caught trying to steal from one of the others.

Night 1 has ended, you may not speak with your allies again until Night 2.

Dawn 2 Message – Bergioyn
You're quite glad you didn't have to be involved with any of the killing last night, and upon waking up you change into fresh clothes of the same colors before going to Yunalesca's room to see if the planned target, Hobo, actually died.

“Enter.” You hear on your knock, noting without surprise that Yunalesca has left the usual Saldaean sign telling maids to stay out.

You step in, closing the door behind you as you pass through to the small sitting room you hear movement in. You see two seated people, one is Yunalesca but you realize immediately that the other is no less than Hobo. His features are waxen, and you realize he is dead.

“Please, sit down Bergioyn. Let me pour you some tea.”

Stunned, you practically fall into your chair. “I take it your mission was successful?” You ask Yunalesca.

“Indeed, indeed. The elixir worked exactly as expected, as always.” Yunalesca leans forward, toward Hobo. “What? Oh, yes, she is quite lovely, I agree.” Turning to you, Yunalesca says “You must forgive him, the elixir often leaves people rather tired at first, he will have to rest here for some time to fully recover.”

There is another knock, and Yunlesca again calls for the knocker to enter. Fox and Ravens strides into the room, the words on his lips disappear as his eyes widen in shock and he mutters a curse.

“Fear not, my friend, Hobo is now our ally, he has sworn himself to my service as my advisor.” Yunalesca says, waiving Fox and Ravens to the remaining free seat.

“Ah... well, that is excellent. I merely wanted to check on the outcome of your efforts, I would join you but I have something else I must check on.”

“I also” You say, rising so quickly the Sea Folk pottery wobbles and clinks.

Yunalesca looks at Hobo and nods. “Yes, it is good to see such energy and enthusiasm in the young. Very well, attend to your business, I will see both of you soon.”

You practically run to the door as you hear Yunalesca continuing to speak to the corpse. You turn to speak to Fox and Ravens, but just as you open your mouth you hear a scream from further down the hallway...

Day has broken, you may not speak to your allies again via NB until Night 2.

Dawn 2 Message – Fox and Ravens
You do not sleep too well, anxiety combined with having clandestine meetings with two groups of dangerous people does not lend itself to a restful slumber. At your request a guard knocks on the door a bit before sunrise, and you dress and head over to Yunalesca's rooms. You knock and open the door when you hear Yunalesca bid you to enter.

Striding into Yunalesca's sitting room, an inquiry about the success of the assassination on your lips, you freeze, muttering a curse as you see the man Hobo sitting at the table, his face waxen, a gruesome smile on his dead features. Bergioyn gives you a a terrified look.

“Fear not, my friend, Hobo is now our ally, he has sworn himself to my service as my advisor.” Yunalesca says, waiving you to the remaining free seat.

“Ah... well, that is excellent. I merely wanted to check on the outcome of your efforts, I would join you but I have something else I must check on.” You say, taking a nervous step back from the table.

“I also” Bergiyon says, rising hastily, nearly spilling her full cup of tea.

Yunalesca looks at Hobo and nods. “Yes, it is good to see such energy and enthusiasm in the young. Very well, attend to your business, I will see both of you soon.”

You practically run to the door as you hear Yunalesca continuing to speak to the corpse. You turn to speak to Bergioyn, but just as you open your mouth you hear a scream from further down the hallway...

Day has broken, you may not speak to your allies again via NB until Night 2.

Back to Alphabetical Order, dawn messages aren't especially chronological in many cases.
Dawn 2 Message – BlackAdder
You awaken before dawn, your charge is safe, but something, Saidar you think, brushed against your ward on Talic. As you are pulling on your boots, you hear a scream, and grit your teeth wondering if it was an illusion of your mind or real, either option seems a bad sign.
Dawn 2 Message – Darth Katie
You carefully weave your web of compulsion on Talic as she passes you in the hallway, urging sleep, and feel it slide off her. Your sleep is otherwise untroubled, and you awaken early, feeling your warder's untroubled sleepy mind, you have no doubt the evening went off with no hitches, and calmly dress, smiling slightly when you hear a scream from down the hallway.

Special: Channelers tend to have a strong resistance to compulsion, especially your very mild form, you've previously used this trick on other channelers and know that they rarely are effected noticeably, but also rarely realize they have been targeted, as long as you are careful, as you were.

Translation: When you target a channeler with your roleblocking ability, it basically never happens but you find out they can channel. This applies to all channelers. There may be ways someone could tell you'd done this, or that someone had channeled at them, but this is not conferred automatically on all channelers, merely immunity.

Dawn 2 Message – fistofpainx

Besides your brief encounter with Amys, your night is uneventful, you get little sleep though as you worry and fret over who to accuse

Remember, if you do not vote for someone within the first 96 hours of Day 2, you will not be able to use your protection ability till night 4, currently you can not use it again till night 3 since you did not vote for anyone in time on Day 1.

Dawn 2 Message – Gher
You leave your remaining ally and retire to your rooms to sleep. In your dreams you remember the earlier event, where you were spied on, remember a flicker of a gloved hand from the doorway, a quick flash of red and white fabric with a glittering gold trim. Awakening, a smile already on your lips, you go to Beetnemesis's room.

It is a simple matter to gain entry unobserved, and to search the woman's rooms. You find no indication she is a Darkfriend, and you quietly place your hand over her mouth.

“What?” She says, startled and terrfied as she awakens and looks up to see you, you are used to such looks of course.

“You saw me, you know what I am. You will now aid me.” There is no hint of a question in your statement.

“Yes, whatever you say... I'll help you.” Beetnemesis whispers, terror and just a bit of hope in her voice

“The darkfriends must be destroyed.” You tell her, just as the screaming starts outside.

Gher, you are now able to speak to Beetnemesis via NB at night, beginning on Night 2.

Since all your other allies are dead or gone, you will not have to decide whether or not to bring beetnemesis into your whitecloak group or keep him separate (he is a she in the game). This was an event “New Ally” triggered on the first night you did not use your powers after one of your whitecloak allies had died, or had you targeted beetnemesis with any of your night abilities. The New Ally Event, when triggered, grants you a +3 bonus to your points, and from this point on you gain 1 point a night as long as Beetnemesis is still alive.

Your current Point Tally is: 9 (6 left over, 3 from New Ally Event)

Dawn 2 Message – Kronin
You are not the sort to gloat, or try for a fair fight. No risks, you do the job as quickly as possible, no side ventures, no victorious speeches, just the kill. Fanatic-Templar seems to be peering out his window down into the courtyard at someone, his stump of an arm holding the curtain slightly aside, as you enter his room, leaving the door ever so slightly ajar so as not to risk a click or any other warning, your feet making no noise as you silently step up behind him, he barely has time to react to the sound of your sword whistling from its sheath as the heron-mark blade slices cleanly through his neck.

You clean the blade on the curtain as you peer out, trying to see what he was looking at. You see a glint of metal around his neck, spilled out from the decapitiation... it is Cheade's amulet. You smile and reach down to retrieve it, then remembering Cheade's rambling about how no darkfriend could touch it, you think better of doing so. Looking out the glass door you realize that balcony hangs above a fish pond, murky in the early spring. Smiling, you open the door and carefully push the body just a few inches, the amulet slides off and down between the balcony's floorboards, you give a little stomp on the balcony to shake it free, and the amulet drops into the pond. You pull the door closed, the amulet can be retrieved by one of the others, you decide, better to test it on one of them in case Cheade was right about that too.

You exit into the hallway after a guard passes, moving with a silence even a warder might envy, and return to your rooms to get some rest, you awaken some hours later to a scream, your keen senses tell you it came from Fanatic-Templar's room, and you smile.

You have successfully NK'd Fanatic-Templar, as he is taking over Napoleon62's role now, be aware that he would not know anything about this event or have received a result from his target for the night. Night 1 has ended, you may not speak via NB to your allies gain till Night 2.

Dawn 2 Message – Ranagrande
You spin a subtle weave on Yunalesca as you pass in the hallway early in the evening, then go to sleep, you are not awakened by any disturbance on the weave that night. No one has channeled Saidar at Yunalesca, nor has Yunalesca channeled Saidar. You dress and sip tea in your sitting room, confident that Talic or her warder will let you know if anything of import had happened to them that night. Your cool Aes Sedai serenity, built up over a long life, is only slightly ruffled when you hear the scream.

Day 2 has begun, you may not communicate via NB with White Flame or Talic until Night 2.

Dawn 2 Message – Talic
As you walk through the hallway on your way back from speaking with Ranagrande Sedai, you feel rather sleepy, but shake it off to talk to your warder for a moment, then decide to go to sleep. Your rest is disturbed near dawn by the sound of screaming.

Day 2 has started, you may not speak with ranagrande via NB until Night 2 starts, though you may continue to speak with White Flame, your warder.

Dawn 2 Message – White Flame
You sit up most of the night in your Aes Sedai's sitting room, playing solitaire, neither of you are disturbed, you rise from your chair in the blink of an eye when your hear a scream from elsewhere in the manner.

Night 1 has ended, you may not speak with Ranagrande till Night 2 begins but may continue to speak with Talic as you are a day-mason with Talic.

Your current point Tally is: 4

Daybreak
Day 2 Morning Message

Location – Saladea, outskirts of Maradon
Date: Eleventh day of Saven, 979 NE

The guests are awakened to the sound of screaming and the noise of guards and servants rushing in the halls. It is soon discovered that Fanatic-Templar, an acclaimed military commander from Arafel, has been found decapitated in his room. His blue eyes staring out vacantly, blood matting his dusty blond hair and black clothing. The guards handle the hero's one armed headless body with great respect.

A journal is found in his possessions, and the last few days record his recovering the ter'angreal amulet at the dinner, how it worked, revealing Tem Lurin, a long friend of his, as a darkfriend, who had drawn him into a secluded area of the library, having seen him pick up the amulet and wanting to know if it worked. The journal tells of a brief and desperate fight, that ended in Lurin's death. There is no sign of the ter'angreal amulet in his rooms.

As the guests settle into the room, where the broken glass door has been hastily repaired, there is a great deal of confused talk and conversation as the guards report that Hobo can not be found, but his possessions remain in his room. Amongst them was a white cloak and rank insignia of a Captain of the Children of the Light. As well as a partially penned letter to a woman, who he refers to as his sister, informing her of the death of her son, Blaine, and his intention to get revenge on the darkfriends he blames for Blaine's death.

Day 2 Lunch Interlude
During breakfast the young officer and some guards enter, and place a higher backed chair at head of the table, along with a gavel, as if seeking to highlight this pretense of law and order and justify the lynches.

If Gher shows any reluctance to assume a position vacated by assassination, he show no signs of it as he accepts the position of Chair and sits in his new seat. Lightly tapping the table with the gavel, his face the image of sternness, he speaks:

“As soon as the servants have finished clearing the dishes, I would like to return to our discussion of the matter at hand.” He pauses for a moment, sipping from a teacup while the servants do this. “Did anyone have anything they wished to raise at this time?”

Beetnemesis raises her hand, in which she holds some papers. “As a matter of fact, yes. I have, as I imagine many of us have, been doing a bit of digging, and I did come up with some information.” She passes the papers to Gher, who looks down at them.

“Interesting, Fanatic-Templar, this indicates you are from a minor house in Andor, and that you are in trade, regularly having dealings in Saldaea? Is that correct?”

“That is correct.” He looks down at his red and white clothing. “What tipped you off? My wearing my nation's colors?” He says with an amused smirk, “Hardly that uncommon.”

Gher shrugs as he looks down at the papers again. “A habit apparently not shared by all, Fox and Ravens, it is noted here that you are also a nobleman, from Saldaea...”

“Black and red are my family's colors...” Fox and Ravens says, plucking at one black and red silken sleeve. “If every noble wore their country's colors all the time I should think most balls and festivals would be rather boring.”

“You are a noble from Saldaea?” Gher presses.

“Yes, I can show you my family's crest in any heraldry book if you want proof, and my own signet ring will match it.” He says, holding up a hand with a large ring on it.

“Very well, thank you both, and you, Beetnemesis, for bringing this to our attention. Does anyone else have anything to raise at this time?”

Day 2 Twilight – Fox and Ravens Lynched
Beetnemesis leans back, arms crossed, as the other guests wait.

“Fox and Ravens” Beetnemesis says

Black Adder nods, "Fox and Ravens".

A collective sigh is heard around the room as the sun begins it final descent in the sky. Stunned, Fox and Ravens stands, his chair falling back.

“This is mad! I'll not be hung like some commoner!” He whirls toward the recently repaired glass door, but two guards step in front of it, barring his path.

The young officer approaches, “Those are the rules, you've no choice in the matter.”

A dagger appears in Fox and Raven's hand in a blur, and he lunges for the young officer, who seizes him by the wrist and twists the knife from his grasp. Other guards grab him, determined not to allow another scene as happened the previous night, and drag him outside. The other guests follow in stunned silence as he is bound hand a foot and carried to the gallows.

With the rope fitted around his neck, brown hair mussed and rich black and red silks torn from his struggles, he glares and spits at the crowd standing below.

“The Great Lord will consume you all!” He snarls, as the lever is pulled and the platform drops from beneath him.

Twilight 2 Message – Gher and Beetnemesis
Fox and Raven's gobbet of spit lands directly in Beetnemesis's face.

Gher offers a handerkerchief to Beetnemesis. “I believe we have much to discuss.”

Wiping the spittle off, Beetnemesis glares at the man hanging from the gallows, twitching and face turning purple.

“He will not be the last, Praise the Light.” Gher says, leading Beetnemesis away from the crowd.

Darkfriend Mass Message - Night 2
In the courtyard, through the early spring foilage you are able to see the torchlit gallows, as Fox and Ravens finally stops thrashing.

Artsapat frowns. “The gallows are too short, his neck didn't break during the fall.”

“Indeed.” Says Kronin al'Sulc, stepping into the alcove with Darth Katie and Artsapat. “Remember how long it took him to die, it may serve as one more reason why caution is so necessary.”

Darth Katie shrugs, “He was reckless, a fool, but a valuable fool. We no longer have a spy amongst the Saldaeans.”

“A pity, let us discuss what we shall do.” Says Kronin, stepping closer.

Tower Group Night Message 2 A
White Flame of Tar Valon settles back against the door, as before, Ranagrande Sedai smiles a tight smile as she accepts a cup of tea from Talic Sedai, who sits down on a divan with her own cup.

“One less Darkfriend to worry about.” Ranagrande says.

“Yes, hard to believe a borderlander would be a darkfriend.” Talic says.

“Darkfriends can be anyone, anyone at all, remember that girl.” Rangrade says, sipping her tea.

Twilight 2 Message – Yunalesca

Bergioyn enters just as finish preparing tea, Captain Hobo, now properly attired, smiles as Bergioyn joins you at the table and you pour three cups.

“I'll have some honey.” Hobo says, you spoon some into his cup.

“And you, Bergioyn?” You ask, enjoying playing host.

“No, thank you.” Bergioyn replies.

“A pity Fox and Ravens turned out to be a darkfriend, good to see his death took so long, may all darkfriends perish thus.” Hobo says.

You laugh and clap Hobo on the shoulder. “Yes indeed, may all the darkfriend scum perish thusly.”

Bergioyn laughs too. “Indeed, I noted one of the guards grab him on the way down, to slow his fall.”

You frown, “Yes, choking to death instead of having his neck snap. I hate to see a noble perish thus, but as Hobo reminds us, there is no fate too grim for a darkfriend. Let us get down to the business at hand.”

Twilight 2 Message – Bergioyn
You give a little shudder as you enter Yunalesca's sitting room and see Hobo sitting at the table, head tilted back toward the ceiling, a morbid smile on his dead face. Disturbingly he appears to have a white bed sheet over his shoulders and a silver chamberpot on his head.

Yunalesca pours tea for the three of you, nods at Hobo, and spoons some honey into his cup.

“And you, Bergioyn?” Yunalesca asks.

“No, thank you.” You reply.

Yunalesca laughs, and claps Hobo on the shoulder, causing the chamberpot to tilt at an angle. “Yes indeed, may all the darkfriend scum perish thusly.”

You laugh, a bit wildly, “Indeed, I noted one of the guards grab him on the way down, to slow his fall.”

Yunalesca frowns, “Yes, choking to death instead of having his neck snap. I hate to see a noble perish thus, but as Hobo reminds us, there is no fate too grim for a darkfriend. Let us get down to the business at hand.”

Night 2 Guard room encounter
Kal Redder nods to Amys and fistofpainx as they enter the guardroom after leaving the grissly sight in the courtyard, “Joining us tonight?”

Amys frowns, “No, just getting a cup of tea, I'm too tired to play.”

Fistofpainx steps over to the cupboard and pours two cups, handing one to Amys. “I do doubt I'll be sleeping much myself, friend Redder, but I think I'll will try anyway. Another night, I think.”

Both leave, going to their separate rooms, as the guards settle down to play cards.

You have both received this message, do not reply to it via 'reply all', as you may not speak to each other directly at this time, only with me, if that situation changes on a future night, you will be informed.

Twilight 2 Message – BlackAdder

You take yourself of to a quiet corner of the library, to think about what to do tonight.

Twilight 2 Message – Fanatic-Templar
Pleased that this mad system of uncivilized 'justice' has at least managed to kill one person who deserved it, you retire to your rooms for the evening, you know your words were a major factor in the death of Fox and Ravens, but his gallows' confession removes any guilt you might have had being part of this rough and unjust process.
