View original postOne of the things all of us here can probably agree on is that the first month and a half or so of Donald Trump’s return to office has not been boring.

View original postI'm sure at some point in my life I wanted to live in interesting times, and if I could go back in time I'd throttle myself and then give the stupid child a long talk and a vial of estrogen.

View original post1. Do you want the USA to continue on as a member of NATO?

View original postI don't know if it's possible for us to do so at present, but yes. And obviously so if the alternative is the psychotic flailing of the past two months.

Just 46 more months to go, if he lives that long. Maybe it’s just Ozempic face, but some of the close-ups from that speech made me wonder about his health.

View original postMerz and Tusk have both expressed a desire to acquire nuclear weapons via nuclear sharing, with France or the UK providing the weapons.

View original post
View original post2. Is this a development you support or find acceptable?

View original postI do not support the use of nuclear weapons, because I am not insane. I can think of one country that I would at present trust with them and does not have them. Even to Ukraine, which at present is the country I think most deserves them. It's also at present amomg the countries that should under no circumstances have them, though I'd swap Russian control of their nuclear arsenal to Ukraine with alarmingly little hesitation.

View original post3. Are there any other countries you’d support or accept as becoming nuclear powers? And if so, which ones?

View original postCanada, without any hesitation, given Trump's increasingly frequent comments about annexation.

Yeah but if US intel uncovered a whiff of Canada trying to acquire nukes it would give Trump his green light to revisit 54-40 or fight.

View original postIf you would like to flesh out your answers please do so. That’s it. Short and (bitter)sweet.

View original postI hate that we're here. I hate that intelligent people are cheering this on. US politics has become a game defined entirely by resentment of others.

I’m hoping that “but he hasn’t got anything on!” starts to come out of some Republican mouths. It might happen if the economy tanks.

View original postI'm so tired.

I think that’s part of the plan, the whole “flood the zone” idea.

南無阿弥陀仏!
