Not at all. I'm saying Congress has amply demonstrated since nearly its inception that getting reelected is a higher priority than the best interests of the country. So Conservative Republicans since Nixon have tried to use Executive Privilege and Executive Orders to bypass Congress. And Progressive Democrats since the Warren Court have attempted to utilize the Judicial Branch to do the same.
I don't know what is the long term answer. Maybe Congressional term limits. My hope is, that in the short term, the steady release of the extent of government waste and improper payments will force the courts and Congress to take action that is within Constitutional guidelines.
