Sorry, but isn't that, like... all of politics? entyti Send a noteboard - 24/07/2024 07:41:33 PM

Politics is a “Positional Good” in first past the post systems with two parties. You have power via someone else not having power (another word for this is Zero Sum)

so if your goal is to eliminate a rival from participating you have to do it well enough that it is successful and not open to chance, delays, other people’s fate. You either seize the day or you do not.

I have no clue what Biden is doing or thinking, but if his goal was to use legal cases to disqualify Trump as your tactic and strategy. Well he fucked up if this was his intent as goal. Pathetic!

Well, I made my case for why they wouldn't want to do a direct assault as you suggest. To reiterate, the entire narrative that Trump is a dictatorial megalomaniac is capstoned around Jan 6. And it is just a fact that this is all it is... a narrative. A direct assault would have a high probability to collapse the house of cards that this story is built on.

With an indirect attack, they were able to draw out the narrative, they have been able to promulgate the story and hammer it in to the minds of countless people, and do irreparable reputational damage.

Either Trump is a threat to the republic or not, you can not campaign on one thing and then act like it is not a threat to the republic, with your choices when one uses power. I feel I been lied to whatever Biden’s rational is.

*I feel I been lied to, Biden defenders may use the word Hyperbole, I really do not care what art turn of phrase someone uses here, for it feels like flattery and bs

Sorry, but isn't that, like... all of politics? I can't think of one politician that your statement doesn't apply to. Not Biden, not Trump, not Obama, not Bush, not Clinton, not Bush, not Reagan... I would go on, but I'll stick to Presidents from my lifetime only. And Congress is not much better. I could probably name two in that last set. Do you not agree?

I think part of the reason that so many people stand by Trump is the absolutely toxic response he has received from both political sides, corporate media (Big Brother), and Hollywood (the Huxleyan social programmers). I have yet to hear anyone give me a reason why Trump is actually a bad pick for President from his detractors, outside of phony left-wing propaganda (like Jan 6) and vague and unfounded accusations of sexism, racism, and anti-LGBT views.

Don't get me wrong. I have actual reasons for not liking and not trusting the guy. Legitimate reasons. I have just not heard any of these arguments from the haters. It is just brainless bullshit.

And as far as Presidents go (at least the ones I listed above), he is the best President to hold office in my lifetime. This is not an endorsement and I do not say this with any sense of pride or joy. It is simply a criticism of the rest of the basket of deplorables.
