Let's go for some more livening up this place with a little troll-ish behavior. I say "ish" because what I'm about to post I do firmly believe but also know that many do not and might consider me throwing it out there to be trolling behavior. I encourage you to make your own posts with your controversial beliefs! Also, DO back up what you're putting out there, don't just make a declaration.

Listening to audio books is not "reading" books and doesn't in any way truly impart the same experience as actually reading a book. It's as passive as watching television; just taking in information without the positive action required in real reading. Plus, you're almost always doing something else while listening, so you're not getting the same immersive experience.
As harsh as this sounds, I say it kindly and from the heart: all you people who listen to audio books and claim to be "reading" are full up crap!
Also, I've seen what passes for reading comprehension from audiobook "readers".
