OMFG! This was so difficult. LiterateDog Send a noteboard - 25/01/2024 08:20:05 PM

The trying to remember all the books I've loved. The trying to whittle down and categorize. I could not choose between all the ones that I adore and could read again and again. As is stated in other replies, these are books that I love. Not necessarily paragons of the written word. Though, I highly recommend any of these.

So, since I was having trouble whittling things down, you get 10 individual novels (which could have been so many more) and you get 10 series (which could have been so many more) and also 10 non-fiction books (which, yes, could have been so many more).

Note, these are not based on order of preference. They're mostly just listed in order of when I thought of them. LOL

10 INDIVIDUAL NOVELS THAT I LOVE
Tokaido Road by Lucia St. Clair Robson
Shogun by James Clavell
Tai-Pan by James Clavell
The Memoirs of Cleopatra: A Novel by Margaret George
Carrion Comfort by Dan Simmons
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice
Russka by Edward Rutherfurd
Lighthouse by Eugenia Price
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
To Dance with Kings by Rosalind Laker

10 NON-FICTION BOOKS THAT I LOVE
The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman

Peter the Great: His Life and World by Robert K Massie
Dreadnought by Robert K Massie
The Island at the Center of the World by Russell Shorto
Paris 1919: Six Months That Changed the World by Margaret Macmillan
The Rothschilds: A Family Portrait by Frederic Morton
The Thirty Years War by C. V. Wedgwood
The Road to Serfdom by Friedrich Hayek
The March of Folly by Barbara Tuchman
The Middle Sea: A History of the Mediterranean by John Julius Norwich
