I saw Friends in the day, but I had a love-hate relationship with it at best, and now it leaves me cold. Same with The Office. When I was a kid, my grandmother loved MASH, but it always rubbed me wrong, and watching it as an adult didn't change my opinions. I could never get into all sorts of other comedies that were huge at the time, like Fraiser, Cheers, Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond (many of which my father has discovered in hindsight, and when I join him to watch a ballgame, he is often finishing up an episode or two of one of these, and I just can't get into them).
