Having a healthy dosis of scepticism towards government is one thing, but if you take that attitude too far, you get the self-fulfilling prophecy of many in the Republican party, who do everything in their power to sabotage effective government so they can more easily build their arguments to privatize everything instead. And now these last few years, so they can install a would-be dictator who can do whatever the hell he likes if he wins the next election.
