As much hate as I've piled on to WoT for the later books (not just Sanderson, but Jordan's milking the series for several books, like the one where everyone was just standing around saying, "What was that?" when saidin was cleansed), even Jordan didn't deserve to have this done to his series. He sort of ruined it, in my opinion, but what Amazon did was malicious and vicious and vindictive, and were I ever to read the series again or even just fondly remember a fun book from earlier on, I don't want my recollection clouded by the abomination that Amazon created.
