Really turning up the rhetoric, aren't they ?
I kind of get the feeling this isn't about environmentalism.
I am of mixed feelings with Cop City as a concept (I very much think this prosecutor is doing an overreach, though some of the charges are fair.)
But Cop City under an ideal theory is exactly this. Advocates for it say you are doing “SWAT” trainings much like you have dedicated places for Firefighters to learn how to do Fire training with buildings you can burn down and reuse. (In fact a fire training ground is part of Cop City
Well Cop City is that with practice grounds for “raids” with a mock motel, a mock nightclub, a mock gas station, and a mock home.
So yeah it is going to be “a war base where police will learn military-like maneuvers“ is literally what it the proponents of it advocate it is going to do! And how these types of training often lead to more deaths not less deaths for in raids the goal is certainity and the best way to feel certain is bodies with bullets in them. So yes black people ( and other people ) will die. This is one of the things cops do ( even if cops do a whole lot more than this )
