I think it's a kind of morbid curiosity to see how low they can get. This is not just bad, it's sort of awe-inspiring the KIND of bad it is. They just keep making unbelievable mistakes. It's not as simple as not being entertaining, or going to bad places with the story, it's more like their utter failure to execute ideas or keep the story and characters coherent. It just keeps violating common sense in ways you can't believe are happening.
