It’s currently 18F here in Connecticut. Or, -8C. The forecast is for temperatures dropping into negative numbers overnight. They predict a low of -4F, or -20C

The various media outlets are treating this as if it were an apocalyptic event. The meteorological hype machine is cranking at high speed.

This amuses me. It’s one night. By Sunday the temperature will be back in the 40s.

It’s gonna get really cold for one night in February, in the Northeast.

Imagine that.


Cold enough to issue warnings about what can happen to one's skin if exposed for even 10 minutes.
