He's a fiscal conservative Tory. It's hard to see what's there to be excited about. He'll be more competent than Liz Truss, big whoop.

That said, the mainstream media has been breathlessly talking about him celebrating Diwali and how he got the post on Diwali, so I'm not sure why you think there's deafening silence!

I guess it's nice to see our global take over begins with Britain, lol. I was hearing this guy on BBC whine about how it's unfair for a brown person to lead a country that is majority white, and I had to cry myself to sleep over the deep injustice that has never before been perpetrated by a white person. I'm sure all the Governors General and Viceroys are glad to know they were actually brown so it was all ok...
