I can fully well believe that it is a flawed document. If it were perfect, we wouldn’t have 27 ratified amendments. At the same time, I understand that it supersedes all other laws and the only way to change that without overturning our system of government, is by adding more ratified amendments.

Understanding the status quo does not equate to worshiping or in any other way clinging to the status quo. Hoping our system isn’t overthrown doesn’t make me a reactionary who loves everything about my country.

Though we often disagree I appreciate how we do so respectfully, for the most part, and with understanding for the complexity of life in 2022. For good, bad and everything in between.
