But overall, I've watched the first episode, and this show is just absolute SHIT. I have no intentions of watching any more of it and having it intrude upon my consciousness when I do my next series reread. The books weren't perfect, but they were absolutely Shakespearean in their quality when compared to this horrible piffle.

Y'all have gone over all that's wrong with it. I just can't. I also can't imagine where the budget went. Jesus fuck me, but I can't fully express my frustration and irritation with the producers of this show. It ISN'T Wheel of Time. They lifted a few elements (badly done) to jumpstart their efforts to make a run-of-the-mill Sword'n'Sorcery show that could try to get that GOT audience. Better luck next time, assholes, with whichever literary property you screw over. Ugh. Narg not happy.
