I mean, obviously there's a few choices they made that were pretty bad, so I wouldn't say they did a great job with what they were given exactly, but given the source material and the requirements of turning that into a popular TV show, it was always going to be a tough balancing act that wouldn't leave anybody really wowed at the start. Part of the reason they immediately released three episodes at once. I'm still not wowed after three episodes, either, but at least there's more good elements as well as bad, enough to make me want to see the rest of the season and postpone judgement.
