Though I also think that the entire reason the Bond franchise worked was because it also never took itself too seriously ... until Daniel Craig. Now it takes itself WAY too seriously, and it sucks. Bond wasn't just out of time. He was outrageous. He was the guy who blew something up, had sex with ten women and then made the baccarat table on time in a flawlessly pressed tuxedo, drank ten martinis and then soberly lit a cigarette while seducing 20 more women.

Bond lost that, and the franchise lost itself.
It is not a James Bond movie, if the movie does not have the energy of Grace Jones picking up here real life boyfriend above her head (Dolph Lundgren) and then suplexing him.
Action but also a little Whimsy that some may call Camp.
