is more "genera" based food than flavor. My stomach doesn't do well if I mix dramatically differently seasoned food from different areas of the world. As an example, I can do any of the Chinese food seasonings/preparation styles (Cantonese, Szechuan, etc) together, but I couldn't do Cantonese Chinese food with Mexican food.
So buffets (if those will end up existing at all) with a wide variety of options are wasted on me....as I know from experience that my stomach will not like it.
I think it has to do not just with the seasoning, but the ingredients and prep style. I could do Thai food and Vietnamese food without an issue. I can sub one of those for a Chinese cuisine without incident. But I couldn't do one of for dinner after having had a burger at lunch.
The food that I have to have almost exclusively by itself would be Indian food. I haven't been successful having that combo'ed with another cuisine. Usually if I have Indian food at Lunch/Dinner, I just have something simple for the other meal.
