its often the different initiatives which truly get people's attention.
The proposition on the re institution of Affirmative Action is a big one. As is the one for Uber/Lyft/DoorDash workers (and others in similar fields). That will be interesting to see what happens.....

We didn't have any initiatives on the ballot this year here in NY - I always prefer them to the horse races - makes me appreciate the democratic side of our republic being able to vote on a topic rather than mask and a platform.
Off to the basement with a book and some good food soon - will emerge in a day or so when the initial chaos and arguing has settled into quiet waiting - the court cases alone will take till 2023 to work out ... but hopefully the initial blustering and posturing will be fading.
