Kitty / Kate Pryde of the X-Men finally kissed a women after almost 4 decades of Bisexual Queer Subtext. It was always Chris Claremont's intention in the 80s but editor in chief James "Jim" Shooter said no homosexuals in comics and thus text had to be made into subtext to skit by him. (He is also the guy who canned the Claremont's idea of having Nightcrawler's parents be Destiny / Irene Adler and Mystique with Mystique being temporary shape changed as a man during this. Thus Claremont had to make Destiny and Mystique Roommates.)
Also other gay comic stuff happened for Wednesday is comic day and some Wednesdays are bursting with gay comic stuff and other Wednesdays are meh.
Yes I know Greg you have never read any of the X-Men stuff but I know you have seen the movies with Ellen Page and so on. Furthermore Kitty / Kate Pryde is the inspiration for other characters such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (with Kate Pryde being inspired by Ellen Ripley from the Alien Franchise.) I am merely sharing for that thing sparked joy with me today.
