If the USA is indeed the most racist country in the world, then running a person of color would guarantee a loss. See how easy that was?
What was easy? Making a stupid statement? I'm sure it was.
I can't believe I'm having to argue with you that the existence of any kind of imbalance isn't cause to further entrench it by refusing to fight it. That should be blindingly obvious, but perhaps you're simply happy to turn a blind eye to reality instead?
What should the Democrats do? Bow to racism as inevitable and never run a Black candidate again? Bow to sexism and never run a woman again?
You've been to India. Few would argue it is one of the most casteist societies in the world. Should all political parties there take it for granted that no one born to a lower caste would ever win and never run them for Parliament?
Not to mention that whole other point that one, or a few, members of a marginalized people winning an election proves literally nothing about a society. Both India and Pakistan have had female Prime Ministers. Only someone utterly witless would argue that this is proof that they're less sexist societies than the United States simply because America has never had a female President.
Are you witless? No? Then stop making such profoundly nonsensical arguments.
