And as per the census, demos are quickly changing.
White Americans include those Hispanic-Americans who count themselves as White. Hispanic by itself is not a race and over 50% of the Hispanics here in the US count themselves as White. But the news outlets use a strange 1 drop rule to disqualify whiteness.
For instance, let's take Ted Cruz as an example. White Hispanic. Married to a White Non-Hispanic. Children automatically classified as Non-White. But all count themselves as white. Anyway, I don't know why some on the Left keep assuming that Hispanics won't go the same way that Jews, Italians, Slavs in the 20th century, and even Germans in the 19th century went in becoming "white". And why some on the Right continue to think that these same people are not white because their ancestors went from Europe to Latin America to the US rather than directly from Europe to the US.
Anyway, if you include White Hispanic (And 53% of Hispanics in the US count themselves as White) in the White population of the US, then the white population of the US was around 80% in the 2010 census and by the 2060 census, the white population of the US is still projected to be around 70%.
