I'm glad that you responded this way. I've seen quite a bit here from people who automatically assume that being born into wealth is a half step from evil (or sinful). Or that being rich is evil or sinful. When instead, it is what you do with that wealth and what place it holds in your life which is important.
nods And that person would be responsible for their actions. And whether they were on one side of the debate or the other, they are still responsible for their actions.
I've often wondered what these charities actually do. I have an inherent distrust of charities, as I'm always curious as to how much actually goes to the cause, and how much goes to the administration. For every dollar given, how much goes to the cause. I've observed it being very little...
So I'm not white...so I'm curious what they have that I don't. What previlages do they enjoy?
See....I find it very difficult to try and judge another person's motives and drives. It is very difficult to do on an individual basis, and next to impossible to do on a large scale process. You just spelled out how you would determine that someone who is white is racist. How would you tell if someone who is black is racist? Or someone who is Chinese? You just made a list of criteria which determines that for someone from one race, but you neglected to look at the individual.
I've learned this lesson of not judging someone the hard way..and as such, I am shy about venturing into that realm again. In today's day and age, people often read way into things and come to conclusions that are not necessarily correct. I am loath to do this.
