With the size of the demonstrations that have taken place over the killing of George Floyd - over 10,000 people in several cities - will we see a new spike in COVID-19 cases over the next two weeks? And if we don't, does that mean the response to this point has been an overreaction?
I am not going to prove that with this link. But JPMorgan chase has all this credit card data and it seems there is a correlation between restaurants credit card usage and 3 weeks later higher COVID numbers. Likewise more grocery store spending has the opposite effect.
It is paywalled but this is the relevant paragraph from Bloomberg.

I am curious if credit cards companies can see whether it is delivery, sit down, or take out with their data.
