You mentioned Reyshard Brooks in Atlanta, and the fact that he resisted. Did you bother to see the entire video. For 27 minutes, he was compliant and cooperative. He had been patted down (on video, no less) and clearly had no gun.

When they were arresting him, he resisted, grabbed the taser they threatened him with, and ran away. He turns back to shoot the taser, which, again, does not connect.

What justification is there for lethal force in this scenario? They had his car. His identification. They knew where he lived. How the fuck does shooting him when he's running away solve any law and order issue?

And no, don't resist or we'll shoot you is not an acceptable answer. Resisting arrest isn't a capital crime. It certainly isn't a capital crime to run away from an arrest.

ETA: and no, just don't do drugs isn't an answer either. It isn't just African Americans doing drugs. But they get incarcerated for it at higher rates, despite consuming them at lower rates. Why should they be held to a special standard?
