You’re missing the point.

Governors who overstep their Constitutional authority ensure these small businesses will fail. We are already seeing Sherriffs and District Attorneys who are refusing to enforce their Governor’s executive orders in multiple states.

People cooperate with reasonable orders. Unreasonable orders provoke disobedience. I’m confident there’s some philosopher you can reference who substantiates that thought.


I do not grant you this premise. It is historically inaccurate. We shut down with the 1918 influenza pandemic, this was during the time of the Lochner era of the Supreme Court. Aka the time where the court thought the freedom of contract and self determination as a business should not be abridged. The court then did not agree with you and that is the most sympathetic time in the courts history to this kind of arguement.
