Like Cuomo in New York. Right now his approval ratings are at an all time high. Yet this stupid son of a bitch is the chief executive of a state and containing a city with the highest death rates in the world. And he exacerbated those deaths by ordering early in March that elderly patients hospitalized with the virus be returned to their nursing homes. Yet people think he’s doing an amazing job. Why?

Meanwhile rural states with numbers a tiny fraction of the big coastal states are castigated for reopening.

I don’t know the answer. But I see both sides. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned in 67 years, it’s don’t trust the bureaucrats.

There’s a reason why, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you,” is one of the most frightening sentences in the English language.
