I wouldn't have been surprised if Cannoli posted a link to it, say. He did post that nonsense from Ron Paul about this being no worse than the flu. And there are others here who wouldn't surprise me if they posted that video, either.
Aaaaand? The only way this has been worse than a flu outbreak has been the government over-reaction to the so-called pandemic. It's of negligible danger to the vast majority of the useful population, and those actually endangered by it are the ones we can most easily quarantine to protect, with the least inconvenience for everyone else. That fact that it might hit an almost-dead person's lungs a little harder than this or that strain of the flu does not change the fact that from a societal perspective, the prevention has absolutely been worse than the disease. A disease that most people never even realized they got it is of so little import that it's not worth splitting hairs over which one's worse. It's like arguing about whether the rodent in your basement is bigger or smaller than a mouse. The fionwes of the world are shrieking "No, it's a VOLE, much larger than a shrew! You people who dismissed it as a tiny rodent were WRONG, it's a rather large rodent." It's still not what any person would call a problem.
Did you really think I posted that because I gave a fuck about corporate medical hair-splitting? Or is it more likely that Paul's intent in writing it, and mine in posting it, was to point out how this is not a major problem for anyone outside of an insignificant segment of the population.
