I just waited until ST: Discovery was on physical format, and then I bought it. ST: Discovery is kinda like Rogue One is for SW. Its the same, but it isn't. There is a very different feel to Discovery. First of all, the tech is way advanced (it makes Voyager feel like watching the Original Series). The Klingons look wrong (but they are trying to fix that). There are some other aspects that are wrong, but they are trying to fix those too.
This is a series where there is one "Main" character, which the rest orbit around. (sort of like TOS...with that character being Kirk). Only interestingly enough now, that main character isn't the Captain.
What does feel the same is the StarFleet vibe. Granted, I say that as last night I watched an episode when they reference the Prime Directive, and then pretty much just push it aside in a very blatant way. So you didn't like ST: Enterprise? Why? There were some lame moments to that series (like all of them), but I'm curious as to why you didn't like it.
